Shelli Conaway and Scotti Spencer
Shelli has 25+ years of Over-the-Road driving experience, and currently works for a small company in Indiana pulling a flatbed.
Trucks With Room came from her efforts during Hurricane Michael, where she hauled water into the area on the empty space on her trailer. She created a FaceBook group to try to connect drivers heading into disasters with small groups needing supplies brought in. Needless to say the idea caught on and Trucks With Room to Spare Inc was created and received their nonprofit status in 2019.
Shelli oversees and runs the Organization from the cab of her truck most days, as do most of our Board Members.
Her daughter Scotti Spencer, serves as the Organizations Secretary and helps her mom when she needs it. Scotti has a degree in HVAC and works at a manufacturing facility in Ironton Ohio.
Colleen has 20+ years Over-the-Road driving experience and has done it all! From cattle hauling to her current position, pulling tanker trailer with Todd Feed & Transport.
Since she does pull tanker, her support hauling is limited, but she is active behind the scenes helping in any way she can, be it networking or helping plan promotions and Trade Show events, all from the cab of her truck.
Lee & Lisa Schmitt
Lee and Lisa Schmitt travel the country together bringing America its supplies. Together they have over 40 years of experience in the trucking industry. As Lee drives them down the road, Lisa manages their social media and promotion of their Trucking With the Schmitts radio podcast. As advocates for trucking, they have met with many regulators and influential people in the industry.
Their knowledge of the regulations of trucking helps them in their daily business and education of the public. Both Lee and Lisa grew up on farms, and they bring that knowledge to Trucks With Room to Spare to assist and advise for agricultural related relief.
